Symphony Orchestra

The Symphony Orchestra was formed in 1974 by Liz Dunn, and was in fact the beginning of Soar Valley Music Centre. Since then, the Music Centre has grown and expanded into what it is today with academic courses as well as performance opportunities, but the Symphony Orchestra still survives as the underpinning ensemble.

The orchestra rehearses weekly in preparation for a series of public concerts and offers our members the opportunity of playing exciting and challenging music from the orchestral repertoire.  As a member of the Symphony Orchestra you will receive top quality training from highly experienced conductors.  Many pieces will be familiar classics and there will also be pieces from film and TV.
